Blues Award for Tosho.

The “Big-Blues Awards” is rewarded too artists who promote and advanced German Blues music.

 Together with the German pianist Christian Rannenberg, Tosho formed the “Christian Rannenberg Blue Band” that later became the Blues Company. Along with the  “Frankfurt City Blues Band”, “Pee Wee Bluesgang” and “Das Dritte Ohe”, The Blues Company remains one of the oldest active German Blues formations.

 Over 3500 national and international concerts and 20 CD releases underline Toshos commitment to the Blues, as stated in his song “I'm just an old Blues singer”, be it together with his old companion Mike Titre or with the Band. Three successive awards by the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik  go to prove the success and quality of Blues Companys recordings.

 That Toshos home town Osnabrueck has become a center of the Germanys Blues Scene can also be attributed to Toshos support for young musicians and upcoming bands. Tosho,  who initially studied classical guitar, is also active  in numerous social projects in his hometown and nationwide.

 Tosho receives  the BiG award for his longlasting support and promotion of Blues music in Germany.
